If you decide to not buy an annual maintenance package, we also provide on call services.

As most of the system is hard wired, it can communicate without the internet. This applies from your controlling device throughout the system. However, if and when you need your home automation system to interact with the outside world, it requires the internet to do so.

Frequent maintenance is not required, as electronic systems do not suffer from wear and tear. However, your home will require updates on the software or the firmware to keep the system up to date. These updates do not hinder the current functionality of the already present system, but add on the new features and / or improve any existing ones.

Typically, people are disappointed with the integration, flexibility and ease of use of their home automation. Often, the problem arises when designers or the homeowners buy a range of products from different suppliers and expect them to work seamlessly. Like pairing an Android device with an Apple one, problems occur.

Often, people will opt for a cheaper brand, as they see benefits from cost savings. However, this is a false economy, as the installer needs more time to install it, and there are no guarantees the system will work as desired.

FlinkTech prioritises technical aspects of their home automation systems for this reason. Our staff all understand the components that work together to create a dream home that’s seamless in operation.

We cannot swap an iPad or a tablet for the touch panels that are to be installed in the house. Those devices are not designed to function 24x7x365. They would need to be on constant charge, which results in battery damage and ultimately replacement. Damaged batteries are a serious issue because they are not easily detectable but can cause a lot of damage to the home.
